I think the government should consider giving discount to road tax for big capacity cars that are more than, say 5 years old, as most of these cars, especially the 2nd hand units, are mainly owned by people like me who cannot afford new cars of similar capacity.

Not that many big c.c. cars in Malaysia, really, just that nobody wants to be the "bad boy" in the government office to propose such as scheme, me think.

It may be supportive to new big cc cars sales if the road tax for old cars are reduced, as the road tax reduction will help holding used car price, which in turn encourage consumers to buy bigger c.c. cars and increase g's revenue from the various sales taxes and duties (more helty than small cc cars??).

well...that wont do coz of the fuel prices...roadtax is not a factor when buying car for most malaysian...coz our car market is small....bigger cc cars tend to have poorer km/litre compare to small cc cars...so even if they half the roadtax for old cars, the sales of bigger cc cars will not increase unless we have fuel price like in brunei...

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Made the following mods on my ATR....

- Apexi N1 Evolution exhaust (gives a nice rumble).
- Defi boost gauge
- SARD fuel regulator

This coming Saturday, I will be installing the Blitz i-color boost controller.

Ok, having installed the N1 I believe I have lost a bit of low end making city driving a bit more difficult as I have lost some back pressure which the auto does not seem to like....I'm hoping the boost controller will help with this as it will allow me to set boost...
