1st my car was running out of battery, after checked by mechanic, finally found out is faulty of alternator. But the problem is I can't find any recon alternator here. Thus normally what will you do if your alternator is gone(touch wood)? Buy a brand new from nissan? or aftermarket(very pricey)? or take back your old 1 to rebuild for higher amp?

I have a spare ER34 alternator if you want to give it a try. The part number between ER34 and BNR34 is different by a digit but I reckon they should fit. Anyway, it's an option if you ran out of ways.

Brand new alternator should be in the 4 figure range. Well, at least that was what I was told.

Thanks bro~ this morning had received call from my mechanic said he also found one to fit my car model. All is installed and and later I can go take back my car edi. I'll take back my old alternator and ask some alternator shop to rebuild, just in case next time die again then I can swap back.

Just drive my car back after installed the alternator. After arrive home, I off my car for 15-20 minute while I cleaning my car. Then I start the engine again, normally I will turn my key to half way until the "airbag" light disappear then only will fully start the engine. While waiting the "airbag" light disappear, my volt reading(from MFD) is 12v+, after start the engine, it will increase to 13.3-13.5v, is it normal? I've heard that the reading is normal between 13-14v(correct me if I'm wrong). And I noticed there is 50% chances need few crank to spark the engine up. Thus I send back my car there and ask them to check for me. I'll leave my car there for few days, let them check whether this will happen again. Or maybe it is ok and just I'm over worry only.....

*My problem has been solved*

Able to found a recon alternator that suitable to my car. When cold start, the MFD show 13.9V and after sometime, it drops to 13.6V. High beam+power window+stereo= range between 13.4 to 13.6 ^_^

correct me if i'm mistaken but the mitsubishi alternator works on skylines. The only thing is, it has a lower rating. I've seen alot of local skylines actually running on mitsubishi alternators. Take it out and see if there's the big word "M" there. Haha, you'd be suprised! The bolt pattern is the same only need to adjust the belting tensioning but it will work.

Pretty cheap alternative considering it is only rm150 or so.
