Dear Friends

I am looking for brand new toyota 1995 supra engine.
Is there such a market for new engines of old model cars?

Does anyone manufacture these nowadays?

How about reconditioned engines that perform like new?

Sorry if my questions are naive.

I am not expert in this area.

regards

I think its unlikely to find new old engine. esp when the engine you are looking for is from 1995. That's 17 years long.
One would be considered lucky to find new ori replacement parts from toyota, for your case Supra parts.
Even new parts are available, they can be expensive...

Second hand parts, half cut is the way to go, unfortunately.

That explains why kedai kereta potong bosses all drive big cars, live in big bungalows.....

not sure about toyota but nissan do have new crate engines..

new engines from aftermarket manufacturers such as Tomei should be able to do popular performance toyota engines such as the JZ.

as for nissan, they do have new engine blocks and internals for their popular performance engines such as RBs and SRs...

getting one custom build from tomei for example would be your best route..
almost everything would save for the block i guess.

the real question is how much you're willing to pay.

My aim is to get a good engine old model at substantially cheaper than new car price.
Focus is on Engine quality should be like new and not looking at performance parts since am looking for as close to stock quality as possible.

The cylinder must be re-conditioned to be as good as new , minimal wear.

But if port polish , sounds like the cylinder will be widened ?
I heard about Cyclinder ridge reamers to smooth the cylinders that have worn out.

Is its cheaper to ream the cyclinder than to get a new engine?

If can ream properly, sounds like cyclinder can be as good as new?

Sorry, i very greenhorn.
