2nd hand price around
RM 150-165k for registered Auto Bavaria spec,
RM 160-170k for unreg Japan/UK spec,
price is roughly around there, depends on spec, condition, mileage, etc.

how to increase accleration ..? dump in the M3's 3.2litre. ;)

Thanku so much man! Anyhow what is the meaning of unregistered? Is it a car with zero milage? In other words, not used by anyone before? :D

not necessary. a brand new car from factory/not owned yet is considered an unregistered car. but if the car has been imported from overseas and been used in the previous country, its considered unregistered too.

in layman terms, as long as the car doesn't have platenumber, its unregistered. haha, stating the obvious. makes me sound silly!

Thanks. Used in another country and still unregistered? so sad  Are there any turbo kits for 318ci or any other ways of boosting it's horsepower without swaping engine?

My friend's BMW 320 i which was modified with all those Schnitzer bodykit and muffler was beaten flat by a stock Toyota Altezza in a drag race. He would like to beat that car the next time he meets that altezza

318ci?. Hmm... Nothing much can be done. Even 325 E46 also not as good as we think. Still non-comparable with those Japanese cars in term of performance. Unless as what gti88 said. 3.2 M3. Other upgrade may be wasted your $$$$$.

just put it this way, people wouldn't buy a 318Ci for the power,
they will buy it for the looks only, how many 2 doors BMs compared to the 4 doors out there ?
for the price of a 318Ci, you could get yourself a '99 328i, if power is what you're looking for

Yeah. Agree with gti88.

As for record, i've tested my cousin E46 325ci sometime ago (imported from UK) with my previous Lancer Mivec CJ 1.6 (2nd Gen, like evo4 body) stock standard. The 325ci really not so impressed. The worst thing is the topspeed moreless like the mivec only, +/- 237 kmh. Really disappointed la. The 325ci even can't follow the mivec at 3rd/4th gear!.

Last time, me also so surprised liow.

BMW 328i has 2.8 engine. The petrol consumption is sure to be high compared to Toyota Altezza. How is the handling of Altezza compared to BMW 318i or 325i? Which is more comfy for those long, winding trunk roads and which is comfartable for the highways? If speeding is not an issue on the highway but to reach a destination without a backache after 4 hours of continuos driving which would be better and which is more inviting for girlfriends?

Eswaran,

put it this way, a BMW will always be a BMW, it cant be compared to a Jap manufacture.
The ladies will obviously choose the 3 series against the Altezza, trust me on this ..
Especially if its a Ci .. :D

Cheers guys ! ;)

Fuel consumption thing is very subjective bro. A lot of factors la. Do u believe it when i say my E28 528i FC better than my E34 520i? :)

Anyway u should get ur priorities right. Wat do u wan in a car?

If u wan style, then that has got to b da 2 door 318ci. u wan power... 330i or 330ci or M3. u wan chick magnet, a 2 door car will pull in more babes than a 4 door car. Plus, image factor. Wat do u wan ur image to b about? an up-n-coming junior executive? BMW la... A person with a different direction in life? Alteeza la....

Dude... if u wan to cruise long distance on highway... both cars also not suitable. Get a 5 series if u wan comfort.

My sensible 2 cents. Ignore at ur own risk! ;)

how about fuel consumption if compare between BMW 325 i and Mitsubishi Evolution 7. Which is better considering the turbo and what about the cost for service and other expenditure? Which car is more cost effective especially if Evo 7 is not driven like a race car on the road?

Its a totally different league. Both has their own goodies.
Just hate ppl comparing about this everytime...Its your own choice and your own liking.
From what ive drove...Bimmers anytime mate!
