People often ask "where can I get a shop that is fast and cheap. Here is one recommendation...

Shop's name: "Su Khee Auto"
Description: Specialist in 2K Automotive Refinishing.

Traits (This is the summary. I highly recommend you read my full story):

1. Fast
2. Charge only 80-90% of market price
3. Honest seller
4. You get to chose a new colour every 6 months to 2 years.

My experience:

I sent my rear trunk to be resprayed some time back. Upon receiving the paint, it was dull and unreflective. I thought to myself, no big deal. I let it alone to cure completely. After some time, it bothered me. Being a detailer, I decided to work on it myself. I levelled the paint with Osren P40 on denim pad, followed by a cut, polish and finish. Coated wit Opti Coat Pro.

I managed to bring back the clarity and reflectiveness of the paint but I did shat myself due to what I saw. Countless sanding marks in all directions were present. The paint was also not levelled properly as there were hills and valleys. The worst part, they sprayed a clear coat over it so the defects are permanently locked down. Today (at time of writing), my paint is starting to peel despite the coating, and all sorts of spa-level products used.

On a separate case, my father got his car sprayed but the paint cracked and peeled after 6 months!!!

Before I fix it - dull and unreflective

After fixing, clarity restored but look closer.

Exotic sanding marks.

Today my paint started peeling despite being coated with OCP. Sealed every 3 months and waxed every month.

What's done is done. Because the owner was a friend, I decided to let her know. Not asking for anything in return, but just a good-will. I just wish that she can train her workers more so that their clients can be satisfied and their business can improve. The response I got made me diarrhoead my pants. Never have i met a business owner who is so honest. Her response was that that is their quality all along. Their selling point is being cheap and fast. Besides asking me not to visit anymore, she also asked me not to recommend any other friends to her place as their business is so good beyond what they can handle.

My email to her

The response I got

I mean, come on. Where can you get a shop like this? They are cheaper (about RM 200 cheaper than other places). What a super good value for money!!! The are a bit faster than other shops too. And the seller is damn honest so there will be no unmet expectations. You are told what you will get. On top of that, you get to chose a new colour for your car at most every 2 years because the paint miraculously peels away despite the 2K claim. Isn't that a bargain???!!! Are there any shops you know that offers such value?

I highly recommend anyone who wants a respray to try them out please...

People complain when a business is bad. But they don't compliment or recommend if it is good. This is unfair. I'm just giving a recommendation for anyone to try here. Because I find their service good as i described in the post.

I feel your pain, brother. But I think she is also right in a way. Not many are picky in paint jobs like you and me, because we are detailers. We scan the paint with LED torch. Most just see from afar and as long as clean and shiny is good enough.
My friend also did a paint job (exterior only) in Ipoh, Perak. He mentioned respray in Pj and KL very expensive and more over recommended by his nephew who is used car dealer.
After 6 months paint started to fade and peel and also the deep sand paper mark starts to appear.
As the saying goes, Fast and Cheap, Not Good, Good and Fast not Cheap......:driver:

Of course i didn't scan mine with a torch. It's reasonable to not be perfect. But at least a lil bit better? At least stay for more than 6 months?

6 months is already bad. My VR was respray because neighbor company was cleaning their machine and some chemical over spray landed on my car. It was spray like in 2004 almost 10 years ago, and only recently because I park 24/7 outdoors and have neglected it because of 2 other cars the paint have started to fade and that is the boot and bonnet only. The sides still shines pretty well
