The idea for the highly-anticipated successor to the Ferrari Enzo is going to be one tough nut to crack and inspiration for the thinking behind it is understood to have have been channelled from the Bugatti Veyron.
From what Autocar gathers, the Enzo's replacement could be powered by a direct-injected twin-turbocharged V8 and have a 2012/2013 debut. The currennt Enzo is quite the masterpiece itself. Powered by a 6-liter V12 that pumps out 651hp and 657Nm of torque. On the tech part, the Enzo boasts Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork, Formula One gearbox and ceramic brake discs. It also came with active aero and traction control.
The successor is expected to be the Prancing Horse's flagship for the new generation of technology that includes active aerodynamics to influence airflow over and under the skin of the car.
