Total silence huh. Prob gonna send my brakes for inspection to see if my pad sitting nicely anot d..
Brake pad noise can be many reasons. Pads, something stuck in between, disc wear, pad wear. Got friend take out clean, sandpaper then no more sound, but for some later on come back....:banghead:

Agreed, and It's quite an irritating small issue especially when discs and pads look relatively new

Its very irritating...
Even on my stock BLM...now got that 'eeeeiik' sound. I am sure its due to road debris stuck on the pad as my housing area got construction site with heavy vehicle depositing debris on the road.

Bro. gunnerzz like to DIY fiddle, fiddle mah.....hahhahhaha
Thats the problem....later i gatal and change the pad for the sake of trying out another brand. The last 2 set was changed when its only 1/2 worn out.

Anyway, good reason to try out my tool set bought from Lzd. Next up to buy is an OBD reader, then plastic ramp, then electronic solder set +kit...the list goes on....

Solid wood dont want? Flimsy plastic looks better?
Easier and lighter to work with plus water proof. my 'workshop' area prone to flood. If wood will leave that brown water stain.

Furthermore all the beruti wood already used as chopping board for ducks/ayam hutan...Wah i exposed so muh of my personal life to u all...

I already have 2 floor jack...3ton and another 2ton.Why 2? 1 is smaller and easier to carry around. The pajero already have 2ton or 3ton cylinder jack. Lots of jack already but no mini ramp. At times i just need small lift to makes a job easier. At times the jack will block my access.

Anyway..back to braking topic.
Anyone own a blm here can verify how easy it is to get the brakes to a temperature where we can smell hot steel?
I am not sure if something is jam which i highly doubt as car rolls without resistance but i drove in moderate pace for about 10km with multiple traffic light stop and upon reaching the destination i can smell my brakes. Wont happen on my waja. I think both are on Trestor semi pad.

Jack the car up to test.rotation by hand. If your rims gets hot after a normal drive, then something isn't right

Yup, like bro. parakey mentioned, touch the rims, if pads binding, the rims gets pretty hot.....

I was keen to know about LSD inserts and how they work
I studied them and one dear sifu wrote a short note about it.
Remember that this is not a normal person , its the owner of Jacks Transmission itself, Jacks transmissions build transmissions

"I think what wears out the gears and cross shaft with an insert is normal driving, not racing. When you drive in the street, especially the highway, both of the front wheels are never turning at perfectly the same speed, so the front diff gears are...
