If there is a car suitable to celebrate the British heritage, the new Jaguar F-Type is undoubtedly up for the job. And for the same purpose, Jaguar had recently launched one and had appropriately named it as the British Design Edition.
The new Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition is based on the mid-range F-Type S model which gets the power from a 3.0-liter V6 engine assisted by a supercharger. With 375-horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque produced, the engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF Quickshift automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. A six-speed manual variant is also offered.
To differentiate this British Design Edition from the usual F-Type, it is finished in a bright shade of blue unavailable previously across the F-Type range. The British Design Edition also gets Jaguar’s Exterior Sport Design Pack which includes a modified front end with an extended splitter, a new set of new side skirts and colour-matched rear diffuser.
The car also gets a ‘Super Performance Braking System’ with red brake calipers and a set of grey 20-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the car is bathed in leather offered in red, ivory or blue. The British Design Edition will be available globally and priced from GBP 75,225 (RM 481,889) for the coupe and GBP 80,390 (RM 514,976) for the convertible.
