what the cost of maintaining this filter?

The OSIM filter I bought RM135 for the bacterial green filter and RM230 for the carbon beads that removes odour, RM110 for the activated ion panel...........expensive to run. Looking for a more economical filter to replace the stupid OSIMs.

Firstly, I would say that your on the right track from the time you bought your first air purifier to cleanse the indoor air regardless of the brand. I would not dare mock other brands and only promote HepAire as the best to be fair as I would not want HepAire to be treated as such.

Actually, I don't really know much about this OSIM Air Purifier, if you don't mind telling me, which osim unit did you buy, iFresh or iLife? for how much?

Ok, now about the HepAire unit, once you purchase it, comes with a 2-yr warranty (1 for 1 exchange for defects and malfunction). The unit comes with a Anti-Bacterial HEPA Filter (recommended life-span 2 yrs), a Zeolite Carbon Filter (recommended life-span 6 months) + (3 extra replacement Zeolite Carbon Filters). This would mean that there is NO maintenance for this filter for 2 Whole Years! Except, if there is drop in airflow caused by heavy dust built-ups, requires some vacumming done on the filter to remove the restrictions. (This helps maintain its efficiency and effectiveness)

Once that period is over, replacement filters prices are like the following:
  1. Anti-Bacterial HEPA Filter - RM130
  2. Zeolite Carbon Filter - RM35 each (RM140 for 4)
TOTAL = RM250 for the next 2 years.
*price may vary in the future

HepAire Purifiers has the very basic requirements of a good air purifier, containing an Anti-Bacterial HEPA filter (most efficient way to trap particles), a Zeolite carbon filter (to remove odor, fumes, gases) and an added benefit of the ionizer (release negative ions to attach themselves to postive ions -dust, bacteria etc making them heavy hence falling down to the ground).

Please don't hesitate to PM/call/sms me (Adrian - 012-3052833) if you need more information or if you like to place an order.

it's the iLife filter bought at RM1350 a year ago but the construction of the unit isnt worth that all.

Your hepa bac trap is cheaper by RM5 Osims RM135.

The Medklinn ioniser was also in my list for consideration but at RM600 I'll wait another 6 months for it.

The best is still the Rainbow filters from US but very costly. It has over 60 years of experience in filteration system.

Alternatively HoneyWell could also do the job for its unit is indeed worth the dough.

Thanx for the insight. There is alot of good branded air filters out there, but they all cost a bomb. They are not very popular over here due to this and also because its harder to convince Malaysians to adapt a healthy air lifestyle.

Concerning the replacement HEPA filter, it may be cheaper only by RM5 but for a HEPA filter, its consider very cheap as it can boast and proven to be 99.97% efficient in trapping airborne particles of 0.3 microns. No other type of filters has been put to the test that can prove to give a better figure unless claimed by the manufacturer themselves.

Ionizer does its work of purifying the air thru ionizing, dropping particle down to the ground, table, etc. This would mean that there is alot of wiping and cleaning to be done which increases your chores frequency. Unless you like wiping the top surface of each furniture every week, pure ionizers would be most suitable for you. HepAire has Ionizer as well, and can be turned on separately with a touch of a button. Combining these both technology helps the ionizer to work faster, more efficiently and lesser dust to be cleaned off the top of surfaces.

Beside Honeywell, there are other good brands are like IQair, Austin, Blueair, Allerair and Air-O-Swiss Air purifiers. They mostly range from RM2000 to a couple of thousands. They are like ferraris of air purifiers. HepAire is like japanese cars, cheap, simple, reliable and economical. Still gets you from point A to point B.

Sorry I don't have any for car ac. However, there are car ionizers out there that may help but make sure you buy a better one, there are many that do not work. So invest wisely.

I finally uploaded the smoke demonstration video of the unit..

However, its an older model without Ionizer but has a remote controller. The new model has Ionizer but has no remote controller due to space contraint (found to be better because remote controller was hardly used, unlike TV)
