nah..cls_minifan dont think it will cost more than other mini's just of of the year prolly would cost more if the condition it is in..definately ...the year might be a factor...but if aint in running cond..dont think it really plays a big part...

anyways mine is a 1968 :D

And would like to know how fast you mini can go ( only original mini engine, not to other engine ) and what is being done to the engine to get to that speed...

my car not so fast la! i think minicooper's b18C Honni is a whole lot quicker than mine! To beat his maybe need the miglia spec mini to be brought in. At a cost of 25-35k GBP, it is a lot of money for a mini.

Your S is a mk1 S i believe? EN40B and hardy spicer outputs? Do you still use it ? I am sure you know of khazin's innocenti S and mk3 S! Havent talked to him in a long long while! Do u know if his cars are out? He has been spending a lot of money on them and I am sure they will look really good when they are out!

all S are not 1275. Refer to minicooper's previous postings. there was a 970 S and 1071 S version before the 1275 S was released. All had twin tanks and special tuning bits!

i thought your car was a rover mini bodied car? correct me if i am wrong! Please do organize the TT, I would love to meet up all of u and also put a face to ur nicks/names! It would also be much better if I have my car to bring to the TT. I believe it will be done by next week! So look out guys for a black and white clubman, crawling at a snails pace as its still in running in period!

Once my car has run in will try to bring it to your palce if i need more fine tuning. I have previously brought to Ramli in taman medan before for tuning of the weber, with some success. DO you stock up on main, pump, air, idle jets as well as emulsion tubes, chokes and auxiliary venturis for the 45 DCOE? If you do that will be great!

all depending on how much money you wnat to spend and also things like gear ratio and tyre size. My 1380 with 13in wheel and 3.44 fd reached a top of 190-195 km/h at about 8000-8200 rpm. You cannot such speeds for long, however the acceleration to reach that speed is really amazing, easily outrun a perdana v6 from 100kmh onwards! As for acceleration from standing start, i am sure all mini owners will be proud of this (850cc owners may not agree with me though :))


ok...enough of this long essays! my flight back to kl has been delayed by 2 hours! need to find something to do to kill 2 hours now!

TT session will be coming up soon guys so far am suggestion to meet up at the drift event in shah alam...on the 30th thats a sunday...or maybe sooner...in subang perhaps..syed ariff a good venue since quite a number of zth tt's are held there.. :D

hi all,

this thread is goin' real fast, cant catch up after not being online for the past 2 days. anyway does anyone of u know a guy by the name of kenny. (he is a car and dirt bike racer). seems to be very knowledgeable on building Mini and i am currently talking to him negotiating a deal, the rite $$$ to build up my Mini. his recommendation is to go for a shell and a half cut w 1000cc engine, manual. according to him 1.3i auto can give problem and not many ppl know how to repair. any comments anyone.

as u say ur using a 1.3i auto, and do u get lots of prob, may i asked how long hv u been using it. just wanted to chk on the reliability. doesnt mind to spend a bit more on 1.3i auto if it is OK.

like ive said before my 1.3i auto has not given me any problems so far..touch wood...but it did take a while before it was up n running smoothly entirely...so be patient...if ur lookin into it...if u really dont mind spending on a 1.3i auto then id recommand it n of course recommand u to go to ARIFFIN jalan meru once again :D slow n the guys is pretty grumpy...but workmanship is good..worth the while though...so far the engine has been engine fore more than 1 year ..no problems ..with the engine ...though im hoping for it to wear out soon :D to tranplant a new one... into my car.. :D

though if u are lookin for power ...then op for a manual instead.. :D more power..if u want ..u can come over n have a look at my car.. to ease u in deciding which engine ud rather ...

i have checked through motortrader, but the minis are in Klang and JB, not Subang wor.......do u have any info about the subang seller?......

It's a very busy weekend for me, i haven't call iwan to look for the shell.
one thing we need to consider is the car registration problem, if we buy an empty shell, build up with different engine, will JPJ approve for running on road? Any solution? Where is kenny's location? If he is good, my one Mini may consider of him also.
I think if u need more power, we may search for 1257cc manual Mini.....right? :)
