Well, to mention, we couldnt feel any tremours in my housing area...nevertheless, other parts of Penang, mainly high rise apartments/flats and lower area of Penang felt it. Condition on the developed areas are not as bad as those on the north west side of the island, mainly Pulau Betong, Gertak Sanggul, Teluk Bahang and a few more to mention. Batu Ferringhi area was also affected but it wasnt even a fraction as bad as those in Acheh, Sri Lanka and Phuket. People of Penang were seen hanging around along Gurney Drive at night after the afternoon ordeal. As usual, people were heard spreading rumours about a second, third and even fourth tsunami that was heading towards us... but it didnt materialise.
