anyone knows more info on this? i've read about a featured car in honda tuning magazine. the engine bay looks neat without all the berserabut wires. how did they do it?

They drill a hole below the fusebox, and route the wires under the sidefenders
(protected from elements)

Some route the wires below the two engine bay main beams.
(exposed to elements, but for show cars, they don't care)

The more elite ones use custom length with weatherpack connectors.
Weather Pack – Components and Tools for the Weather Pack System
(the weatherpack method is more common on domestic US rides, like chevy, ford, etc. not honda)
Honda custom length wires uses stock plugs because of the sensor plugs and such.

Still planning to do mine up.. someday.. :P

it involves lots of cutting and soldering, not to mention many shrink wraps.

but the end result is nice.

good luck bro

the cutting and soldering not 100% necessary, except for the K-series conversion.

For B series, all wires can be hidden without cutting. I already planned the layout, but drilling the points where the wires go is a problem. The drill bit looks like the one they use to drill doors to install doorknob, but I couldn't find one for metal.

some of the wires can be hidden under the wiper panel, while the side ones can be routed through under the side fenders. Clips, honda has the tie-rod + clip and the holes for them are already there, thank to the original wiper hose that are originally outside, but when looking at the USDM civic manual, the wiper hose is mounted inside the side fender. And the holes are there, I've checked :P

There'll be slightly longer leftover, so by creative routing, should be able to get away without cutting.

Well, it's planned in my head at least, but the drill bit is a problem. One of the mags I had showed a step by step procedure, and the final missing link was the fact that they drilled a hole under the fusebox to route the wires.. That one was the 'missing' thing I was trying to figure. out.

huhuhu! use gigi biru and wayarless,... chun lahhhh,...

anyway shiro,... maybe u can find the doorknob drill bit for metel,... knobs for metal door also installed that same method,...

or use the cone shape drill bit,... duno wther u can get a large size one or not, tho,... but can always move the drill, juz scrape the hole u've made bigger and bigger,...

That's the thing, I'm looking for the doorknob drill bit for metal, but mostly only see the one for wood.

wa... nice info bro shiro. but what if the hidden wires putus or something? sure a lot of fuss to check. but serious laa... demm cun laa engine bay without the wires. hehe!

That's why don't cut... the alternate method under the side fenders involve no cutting.

currently i'm using b16a. for b16a the wires don't have to be extended ah? just hide only? if doesn't involve cutting... should be easier. :hmmmm:

a bit off topic

but some 'inspiration' for you bro

more can be viewed at HT's wire tuck thread

Those I think are done by cutting up the harness, the fusebox is mysteriously absent. I think there are some in HT's wire tuck thread that's a bit more practical..

agreed

these are more towards the extreme end of wire tucking. cutting. rerouting.

clean?

you betcha.

no power steering system
no air condition system
no abs
no hid ballast
battery relocation
fusebox relocation

neat, hot during daytime, fog during rain and strong triceps :)

those engine bays are nice. without PS i still can manage... but without aircond mati laa. but agree with bro shiro... this examples are too extreme. i don't prefer to relocate the battery and the fuse box. just wanna make it OEM look but minus the wires. some hoses can be hidden too isn't it?

Only the vac hoses I think can be hidden... because on 4 throttle systems you need to have custom length hoses to make it look clean.

The aircond hose.. I have no idea where to route it.
