I need some replacelement for my car's rear lamp. Cheap conventional bulbs do not last long.

I've DIY some a couple of days ago but that involve major mod to the lamp's wiring. Pics below:

When power is applied to it, the LEDs are very bright - can light up a 10 x 10 room. As u can see, I did not use any resistors. I soldered 10 LEDs in serial (to reduce the voltage requirement) x 8 LEDs in parallel (to increase brightness).

DIY is fun but it is not easy to produce in quantities.

Yeah... still a work in progress, need to find a way to fit as many LEDs in the lamp base. 10 x 8 is just too much...

woa... in serial? 1 spoil then 1 row no light? :_:

go pasar road (pudu) . you can find electronic stuffs that you want there. dual light led will be pretty cool.

1 row no light better than no light at all.

I got the idea from a spoilt 3rd brake light. It uses 3 rows x 30 LEDs. I guess this type not so bright.

I have updated with some pics in dark room... damn bright! I'm still blinded by it (vision blurred by many reddish shadows).

vr nice... any electronic shop also got sell LED mah...
i wonder if my iswara a/b can mod the tail light to use LED... kekeke... next DIY on the list....
