I need some replacelement for my car's rear lamp. Cheap conventional bulbs do not last long.
I've DIY some a couple of days ago but that involve major mod to the lamp's wiring. Pics below:

When power is applied to it, the LEDs are very bright - can light up a 10 x 10 room. As u can see, I did not use any resistors. I soldered 10 LEDs in serial (to reduce the voltage requirement) x 8 LEDs in parallel (to increase brightness).
DIY is fun but it is not easy to produce in quantities.
