I think the disadvantage from the start is VR FF and the E36 is RWD, the 36 will always having the car with better traction from a standing start as u accelerate and lay the power down the cars weight get transfered to the back thus more traction whereas on the VR you get very light front end which means less traction....and moreover that particular Vr is only wearing 195 boots in front ( even in my mk2 its spins like crazy)and I m sure bimmer has at least has 225 boots at the rear and the E39 has to be kicking in excess of 200BHP

Mike your point duly noted however the VR is not a light engine which is why so many VR converted Mk2 turn turtle when taking hard corners... ( claimed in the states). I guess in spirited driving ever little thing helps.... so when is the rematch if ever there is one?

i am, for one, nvr seen any of such VR6 transplant done here in MY.

The ABT are with Patrick, exchange for the BBS RM G60 Edition One and see how it looks in my car, I guess its a split decision old school guys like the BBS, new boys or the Bad Boys like the ABT's so there we go, to me both looks good but now got used to the BBS look....now running 280mm disc so the ABT might not go in again owing to the deep dish design fouling the Calipers...but will try someday.

Yep they are RMs and they were made in both one piece and 2 piece and the specs are 6.5JX15 Et33
