Superstrut hell

From my experienced, I need to use both of these tools.

this one to remove upper joint

and this one to remove lower joint

Oh.. really? i thought can use any1 of that :embarassed:

but from the half cut, mechanic also knock or hammer out the figure 8 and the control arm out.
unless buying new, the figure 8 and control arm is come separately.

me2kimi and D7zul, do you guys DIY to repair your SS?

nope.. i planning on getting the SS.. so, what i share is from info i gather

Yloon, so far I think nobody repair the SS thing. They just replace with another used part.

I'm still using the superstrut .. but knocking and car will swerve to aside when letting go off the gas .. haha .. quite fun but only I can handle the car .. other ppl drive keep asking oi why your car like that ? ..

I'm trying to replace the ball joints with new ones .. bring to machining shop to custom fix it :)

My superstrut broke today. Actually not the SS bit the brake hose for the SS. The hose routing os not good. The hose 'bergesel' with i dont know with what but the outer layer broke. Today when I press the brake hardly while on park, the hose burst.

time to upgrade to braided ones with SS meshing.....
