The fight was actually in south korea. The fucker hitting the bus driver was drink driving. The fight started because the bus driver honked his horn at the drunk driver.
Digger is correct in that the bus driver knew there was a camera and that the cops were on their way. The bus driver did the right thing in that he did not fight back, which could have made him lose his job. He'll probably now be compensated from the government, his employer and the drunk.
Not sure what happened to the drunk, but the bus driver had his ear drum pop.
