To all my Muslim buddies here, Selamat Berpuasa.

It's a good time to start checking your rides for the long distance balik kampung coming ... :) Drive safely brothers!

Hmm.....

Well, balik kampung trips have started. I won't be heading back hometown. Just don't wanna further congest the highway and let our Muslim brothers enjoy better traffic.

A usual exercise that I'll do before long trips is to check your car's condition.

> Engine oil level
> Radiator water level
> Brake fluid level
> Power steering fluid level
> Battery water level (if your battery isn't maintenance free)
> Make sure all lights are working, headlamp, high beam, signals, brake light, 3rd brake light, reverse light
> Tire pressure
> Spare tire pressure + basic tools like jack and nut opener / puncture fix kit
> Spare some cable tiles, wire tapes, cutter, screw drivers, pliers
> Spare water (I usually keep 2 X 1.5L)
> Battery jumper cables

For the engine, start it up and let it idle. Try to listen to the engine bay for any kind of abnormalies like vacuum leaks or oil leakage. Make sure your clamps are all tight like air filter hose or fuel regulator line clamps.

And most importantly, drive safely and do not use the emergency lane when jam. Take care brothers and Selamat Hari Raya!
