there were 4 editions the R3 badge for Neo ( excluding the Clubsport )
The 1st R3 had accessories ( and some say a piggyback )
Then came the Lotus Edition ( British Racing Green livery )
Then the RS - The 1st Fiery Red CPS which had alot of performance bits and accesories.
Then the current running - available in Red, Yellow, Silver etc.
thanks a lot for the clarification to both of u bro CrazyKatak and bro Maxx. ive search and read bout this mighty neo R3.. it may be expensive but for the spec, i love it.. if im not mistaken, the RS got the closed ratio tranny and packed with R3 stuft compare to nowadays so called R3.the current CPS R3 (red/yellow/black/silver) only have internal and external cosmetic. no performance parts.
CPS engine. MT or AT gearbox.
R3 bodykit (front lips/splitter, spoiler, side lining, 16" rims)
R3 design semi bucket seat. 2din blaupunkt HU with garmin navi.
my opinion, better u get 'hardware' stuff 1st, like exhaust header, exhaust piping, adj. campulley.. then baru pasang ecu control stuff (piggyback or standalone).. this way u can maximize all the 'hardware' after tuning.Hi guys, I need some help over here.
I am driving a CPS R3 version. And I find the torque delivery at low range is very weak.
I've asked around performance shops for opinion but all seems to be quite sales oriented reply.
Things like SS header, Throttle Control, CPS Controller, Light Weight Crank Pulley and the list goes on.
The thing is I think my engine parts are all doing just fine. And I don't see a point replacing any original parts like the camshafts or the crank pulleys. I think the stock engine components are able to deliver power but maybe the ECU setting is not to it's optimum potential.
My theory and question is, to replace the stock ECU setting first and fine tune with after market products. So I think if I have not mistaken, doing that means need to purchase items like E-Manage / Haltech / EMS1 / Piggyback / Stand Alone. To remap the air / fuel setting. Then maybe after getting the ECU, I might consider a better exhaust system and then fine tune everything.
I don't really have a lot of knowledge in modifying cars. But my ultimate goal is to increase the torque by just a tiny bit so that my daily drive will be more enjoyable.
So there you go, a noobie asking for help. Hehe.
Please do correct me if anything I said above is not correct. So that I would be able to know what's right.
Please tolong me !
