just wandering y does b series rocker arm always sound so bad. i hv been using 2 eg hatch back with b16, n i notice everytime after doin a b16 conversion. the rocker arm sound so loud... any idea hot to stop the noise.
btw which is better in terms of overall package, field sfc or apexi vafc??

adjust the tappet n use 50 n above grade oil to reduce noise. If still, need to change the arm loh.....

They're just like that. Maybe rocker arms worn more than normal.. or maybe the tappet end not flush with the valve stems/retainers. hard to say for sure until hear the noise.

You have to remember that the extra sound comes from the middle cam followers as well, since they're really just sitting there until the VTEC engages.

I know they're slightly louder than normal engines though. Love it, or drive a camry/mercedes/whatever.. j/k. :P

LMA = spring with a plate on top. if the tapping sounds speeds up as rpms speed up, and goes away when you hit vtec, and the vtec rocker doesnt come back up when you push it down (physically check with your fingers), then its the LMA. but then again, noise can be alot of things. check your valve clearance and also probably a worn out rocker arm that is hitting back and forth.

maybe you should know better since u said "i notice everytime after doin a b16 conversion".
