While Renault’s motorsports division may have had their duties eased off following the sale of their Formula One team to Lotus, they’ve been retasked with providing engines to Formula One teams as well as focusing on performance kits for their road-going vehicles, such as the Megane RS that has been kitted out for the rigours of tarmac rallying.

The Megane RS N4 has been rebuilt to Group N specs and will be made available to privateer rally teams. Power has also been increased slightly, being bumped up from 247hp to a healthier 265hp on the turbocharged 2-liter lump.

Most of the work went into the suspension and handling part, understandably. A set of Ohlins suspensions are mounted at all four strut towers, connected to hubs that hold onto bigger brakes. The front axle gets a limited-slip differential, probably with increased locking while the interior is given the bare-bones treatment with a dabbling of sports goodies here and there such as a pair of carbon fiber Sabelt full-bucket seats. There's also a weld in rollcage to beef up the chassis rigidity.

Just too refresh your grey matter, you can also catch the road-going version of the Megane RS250 this Sunday at the final round of the Time to Attack series, dubbed The Finale. In fact, a whole army or Megane RS250’s will be unleashed on Sepang International Circuit with one of them even being the official safety car for the event.

Dear Klang ZTH guys,

Need some advice on a good body repair shop in Klang. So far i need to adjust the fender, front bumper mount and also some body repair work.

It's not for accident repair, it just that the previous shop who did the repairs are not up to par and i can see minor flaws. I am looking to repair the looks to 90%. Anyone can recommend?

Thanks,
Ken
