Rally Suspension System

There are other brands out there like RalliArt, Tein and so on...
You need to search the web for more info on them...
Would be better if you could state what car you drive...

For pure performance, you would have to go with the top brands like Bilstein, Proflex, Drummonds, etc. But these systems cost like RM15,000 brand new! My friend had a set used Drummonds rally suspension system, I think it had like 20 different settings.

I would go for second-hand rally shockers then to pay for local ones if budget permits... But personally having tried local ones I would recommend HWL custom rally shockers for anything below 2000cc cause they work and theyre affordable... Plus they have done R&D for the local rally boys...

I think I'll be inclined towards HWL since I used HWL on my previous (custom road-going) setup.

Btw, any of you guys watched the WRC highlights in AXN? The Finnish stage, where at least 3 of the co-drivers were "stuttered" right after the huge hang time (jump) in one of the jumping spots. One of them managed to just give directions by hand signals.

I'm stunned, really. With such suspension system, and the effect can still be strong on the drivers and co-drivers alike.
Imagine on our road going stiff suspension, and going through the same ordeal?
Ouch!

Not much on the drivers though.

Not much on the drivers though.

drivers usually dont have problems on the jumps as they have the steering wheel to brace against, and also they can anticipate the landing better as they know exactly when the car is going to land on the ground.
i myself have suffered a few sore necks from landings while navigating. usually when the cars nose hits the ground first. if the back wheels land first, usually no problem.

Exactly. Drivers can anticipate the exact moment of landing and would be able to "soften" themselves while it's a case guessing game for the co-drivers.
