Yes, that's definitely first on the list - even before I collect the car. Gonna have Captor installed. Will also get the kiss-ass girlies from 'Rouge' to back me up. :D

As much as we'd all want peace of mind, there are many determined thieves and vandals out there. So we have to be mentally prepared for the worst (touch wood). Thank goodness for insurance.

Genting drive sound good actually.. Some of the R3 guys have been doin it the past couple of weekends. Only last weekend I took our Developement R3 up with some of the Nissan guys and a week before with a bunch of STis... heheh.. i can safely say the Satria R3 was not embaressed.

yeh dude... esp. if the R3 has a pilot like u, of course it won't be embarrased.

imo dont bother with captor, get cobra + their tracking instead, much better. if i'm not mistaken they even come with 2 fuses for ur signal lights and some other stuff. tilt sensor, shock sensor all oso must to protect ur cf spoiler hehe

Crash, AFAIK, the RM1438 package is no longer available. It is replaced by an RM1950 package. I've spoken to my SA about this and he even confirmed it. Here's the new captor pricing page:

At first, they wanted to charge me for the new package, but I did manage to negotiate for the old package.

From what I was told, the difference between the 1438 and 1950 package is that the latter is installed in a different location of the car and has a panic/hijack button. I'm not sure if there is even a shock sensor in both packages.

p.s. The GPS/GSM system you spoke of is actually RM4k :(

dolly, I'm still interested in alternative tracking systems, since I haven't installed Captor yet. Cobra, Clifford and Radiostar are quite attractive.

I heard Cobra is good, but I never heard that it has tracking services. Is there a proper fitment centre and Operations Center to back up its services?
