question for tyre sizes

if front use 225 45 17 and rear use 225 40 17 the gearbox will hv any problem? use at atr turbo

It is stated that Airtrek Turbo are using open differential for front and rear but vicious coupling differential for the centre..
yours 10% difference...sounds OK..but will damage eventually..how bad it is? i dont know...but it will slip all the time...

Why rear lower? No advantage, right? Usually front should be lower.
And to use lower profile means increasing the tyre width like using 245/40R17.
Anyway, you cannot rotate your tyres too

In that case put in front....but will be very bumpy for 40 series tyres....

I am using 40 series 18" 225 tires. Just too thin and bad for rim with Malaysian poth-holed roads.
