Darn, my proton's roof got rust bubbles. I sent it for spraying but the bubbles came out again only after 2 weeks! How can this be solved in the most cost effective manner? Any recommendations on what to do and where to go?

I guess I'll have to respray the whole car already, since fitting in a lot of promote parts.

Eh...Sabah price different la.But the whole roof + respray cost me rm800.I repair it bout 3 years ago when the workshop grind off the rusted portion and applied with fiber resins but it didn't last.
Changing the centre part of the roof is no easy task as the guys have to dismantle it(its spark weld in the 1st place),refit the new one and re-spot weld.
I think most rusted wira roofs are pre-96 ones.

thanks man. Decided to respray the whole car and change roof, since I'm doing up the full promote kit set. Don't know why the prices for spraying bodykit is more expensive than spraying the whole car.

Whole car - RM1000+
Body kit - RM2000+

Why? Doesn't make sense although one shop said that matching the bodykit colour to the existing colour is harder than a full respray.

cut out isnt it illegal? ei? so taht means sunroof or no sunroof...when u change the roof that means its already illegal? then what are we supposed to do when the roof gets rusty?

officially i think it's illegal for Iswara/Saga to do that since you are cutting the pillar but what to do ??

As for Wira Putra so on i think Ok since you can just remove the roof skin

if the rust is serious.....u hv to change the roof...

if minor, then use fibre to cover it. and the spray....

plz dun use 'red simen' to cover....rust will appear again in very fast time.

just had mine done recently, coz from lots of his customers rides and his,d rust problem doest seem to appear even after 3-5 years..his wira he did it 5 years ago, till now still looks new..another iswara,3 years n still looking fine..fingers cross, mine will last..
The problem he said is d gam that is use 2 stick between the bone/crossmember of d roof..so if u get d top resprayed but did not treat d bottom half of d roof,it will definitely appear again..a good body repair shop sud knw how 2 do this..scrap off d old gam/glue and use a better non corrosive gam/glue..

I had a car being hit not long ago, the fault on the other party, summon on him too. My car was towed by accident claim company. Then, I was busy myself, oversea and here for around few months. I was told the car was done, but was told to paid a thousand because my insurance was under insured. I thought, I was claiming the other guy, and I checked with my insurance company, my NCD was back to 0%. I request the insurance company to check it throughly, and they revert back the NCD. But, the...
