Oil Leak

GTIevo3 Dude, when Tong gives you a fresh build turbo its well lubed and oiled... I hope you were gentle with it before you pop the cherry? So some blood ... errrr ... oil is normal ...

A little bit of oil when its newly rebuild is ok ... even with older turbos a tablespoon or two of oil in the intercooler is normal ... but if it starts coming our of the BOV then you have a little trouble... 1st Check if the PCV or breather valve is stuck.. then check if your turbo oil return line is not blocked. Replacing the PCV and cleaning the breather and oil lines are cheap... do those before you take the turbo out. Also this might be residule oil from the last turbo failure or oil that seeps out when its new... so clean the intercooler. Drive for a while and see if still got oil coming out from the BOV.... all else fail then like what other people says oil seals kong ....

those engine oil suck in will cause knocking. beware.

my friend diesel engine the turbo shaft broken, engine oil shot out from turbo suck into intake.. guess what happen???

diesel got no throttle body, so engine oil go into engine compress and keep on ignite. rpm shot up to 5-6000rpm. cannot off engine kekekeke...

W can rule out PCV since owner has shut it.

Then posible causes I think (in order or severeness)

1.) Clogged Air filter
2.) Clogged Turbo oil return line
3.) Left over oil stain from previously.
4.) Kaput Turbo seals.

Anyway, wat is the turbo and boost pressure?

My specs are as follows:
-Standard TDO5-16G (boosting at 1.0 bar)
-Blitz open pod air filter
-JFA 2.5" I/C piping

I guess its probably from the previous oil when my turbine kabut. Another thing, previously the other hose from the OCT were directly connected to the IC piping and for some reason the hose got twisted, thus engine pressure build up for a week and oil leaked from the turbine. After that i took it out and reroute back to the ground. I think i should do some spring cleaning to my IC piping from my mess earlier and see how its goes from there. Btw thanks a million for the feedback and have a nice day!

My fren's turbo died 6 months after Turbo service.

His turbo was single fin TD05 16g overboosting at 1.5 bar ("VR4 mar, can tahan hi-boost wan")

THe turbo was overtaxed by the frequent hi-overboost (hi boosting = Hi Turbo speed) and died prematurely.
