This is the story. I pick up a member and he close the front passenger door a little hard today.
Something came loose. I was expecting something minor that came loose and didn't make much fuss about it.
So when i reach home, i open up the door panel and to my horror !
Circled RED to show where i took the pictures from.
Circled BLUE is the 'GLUE' on the bottom cross beam. Looks ok right?
Circled RED is the upper cross beam. Notice that the cross beam has fallen off !!!!
Red showing what has happen on the top cross beam and blue showing what's it suppose to be on the bottom cross beam.
This is the end (towards the front) of the cross beam. Notice that there is no welding or bracket to tightened it !!!!!
I'm just sharing my experience here. The cross beam on the car is NOT SAFE from a side impact.
The 2 cross beam is just 'glued' to the door panel. It is not even secured to the door's structure.
So guys, please, becarefull while driving. I'm starting to think twice about driving my Myvi out anymore.
It's really starting to fall apart ...
