guys
need some advice
since i converted from 1990 NA to 245, speedmeter not working liao
coz old one cable.. 245 one sensor
any idea how to get it fixed? dun wanna buy another rsm and risk it again...

The Falcon,

U got 3 choices:
1) to use back cable to run ur speedo by modifying the gearbox side (245 sensor)
2) to change your meter to 245 meter and do the wiring from gearbox sensor to meter.
3) don't run meter at all........hehehehe(not a real option but an exit)

TheFalcon said:
1) is it easy to modify that?
2) 245 meters hard to find * anyone got spare? *
3) thats what im doing now!

!) It is quite easy to modify as long as u can get the gear part from your old gearbox. It is where your cable is plug into or rather srew into the gearbox. There is a size 10 bolt there. Just remove it from ur old gearbox and than remove the speed sensor from your gearbox & fit the old one in.(Note: some modification need to be done). You an send it to a few shops which can do it which is GT Auto (where i did..but a bit p....y:mouth_closed: ), AMprex Motorsport ,....hmmmmm forgot the rest....

2) 245 meter is hard to find but if given a choice i'd rather use this option as the speed meter cable is darn expensive:sad_smile: . This option u will need to get someone who knows about car wiring to do it for you as it may be quite complicated if u don't know.

3) Good option but u don't have the mileage counter or the odometer counter to let u know when to service your car.

anyone know where i can find the speedometer relay... the small little relay box hidden above the glove compartment. Having problems with my meters since the day i got my car

for (2)
can gt auto do the re-wiring? i think i can get the meter... hopefully.. how much does it cost roughly?
Yup, they definately can do but it might be pricey. Probably you can try calling this guy at 0122901561 Ah Choy. He will bw cheaper but try to get price comparison. This is Gt phone no. 019-6625384 Thomas. Good luck.

haha, iexit,
for now, i want to keep my car as stocky looking as possible
those buggers came back last night.. rounding outside my house
not gonna risk anything expensive and detachable in my car...

btw, my ecu keep coming out speed sensor error
check engine light always up
is it ok to drive like this?
im worried fuelling screw up by ecu while driving

TheFalcon, Hey your ‘friend’ got a 245 ECU for real cheap ma, try it out lah… as for those thieves, get their registration umber and report it to the police. Or we can set a trap for them and give them a time of their life.

MRMIC2, When are you paying for the autocross, can i tumpang? I pay u first lah ;-). My clutch feels much better after changing the slave pump but there were 2 times in which i had an issue shifting down to 2nd. But this time it’s a different feeling altogether, i just need to push it harder and it will slot right in, no fuss no cranking sounds....

Also after changing the slave pump, I notice the clutch seem to have lowered it self again (height of engagement), maybe i need to re align the clutch foot pad height again...

p/s also need that lube job u were talking about :P

iexit
my ECU is working fine
just that speed sensor got disconnected when the thieves plugged out my rsm
so now keep coming out check engine light
just need to know the effect before i get it fixed... if i shld drive the car or not

push harder? meaning pushing the pedal harder?
maybe got some air bubbles in the pump
should sort itself out after awhile of driving.. not too sure tho
