hi , newbie here , want to share this topic and learn some mivec :rolleyes:
*Mivec 1.8 = Full Tank RM80 Ron 97 = 300km ( city driving ) 350km ( highway )
but i listen my friend their mivec 1.8 can go

380km is include sometimes got high rpm , if mantain low rpm never engage mivec can go around 400-430km something.

erm.... i have listen , fully modify 1.8mivec exclude hi-cam is
1st = 177.98BHP
2nd = 174.80BHP
i saw dyno result from my friend b4. hehe...
maybe got other more power mivec king,but din't join our topic.:rolleyes:
 
look many mivec kaki here also ya.....whn can we have a mivec TT...haha...

This must be one of the longest MIVEC threads around. I believe lots of sharing of experience and expertise esp. on gen 1 1.8 hybrid. Many modders here have matured to realize the results via butt feel to dyno runs. And I believe, it is this that would brings the modds to next level. I've seen quite a number of dyno figures quoted which can be encouraging. It would be great if the dyno charts could be furnish as well. More information can be gain and modd comparison purposes to learn something from it.

Attached is my recent dyno run.

1st run = 153 hp. (mixed pipping size , s-flow muffler and center box = 2.1 , pipping size 2.5 - non mandrel bent)

2nd run = 158 hp. (Changed made , ran full 2.5 pipping with 2.5 center bullet and 2.5 straight flow muffler , full mandrel bent)

Hp gain was minimal 5 hp, however torque increased by 1 kg, noticed minimal lost running full 2.5 pipping.

My setup:
1.8 mivec hybrid = 4g93p lower block + mivec head. Only mivec component is the mivec head. Wiring and ecu = 4g93p. Running the so called cusco replica 4-2-1. Still using the stock box intake with k&n dropin. Lastly running the gsr intake manifold however not port match to the head. Mivec trigger via RSM, engagement point at 4800 rpm. static ignition =5.

?? from 2 Dyno run:
1. downwards torque curve afer apox 5200 rpm; is that normal, thought the curve should be progressive on an upwards and tapper down at higher rpm perhaps 6500 rpm .. any idea ...

2. torque and hp pretty low before the mivec engagement ; i would at least expect it to be better than the 4g93p as that is the adv of the mivec however seems not the case , any idea ..

3. would you think a open pod with CAI , help with the torque as whole ....

what you reckon ....

yup , this is good idea , because my english not very good :rolleyes: , better come out and explain. when all have free ? after chinese new year can? because i'm come back from kedah after new year on 20-24/02/2010 if can we come out on 21-02-2010 night ok?if cannot we just can choice other date.any 1 can suggest other good date ? because 20/02/2010 sepang got DRAG BATTLE,hehe...any 1 interest? :proud:

try to use 2.5" piping , maybe will +3 or +5 HP (recommend)
your car is satria gti or u buy the kosong engine gti?when u convert 1.8 time have change the crank pulley also?or your car original already is 1.8 gti then just plug and play the mivec halfcut except your block?

when? where? let me knw if got tt yaaa. 1 more thing, any1 hav any tips on adjusting cam pulley? wats the best setting u guys experienced ? im looking for high end power. before going to dyno, im trying to gather few settings n wanna see which is the best end result.
