yeah, also wanna know more about x4 igbt this stuff. Coz i read in microtech web, it said LT10S do come with built in ignition amplifier. Does that means we dont need x4 anymore? But i saw alot "kit" regardless frm Lt8S or Lt10S, do pari with x4

Ah hah, at least someone has same idea like me. The reason I asking this is because I found out the ignition timing is not ideal . I guess that's why some of LT10's users(included me) have this engine jerking during surge acceleration . I am suspect X4 need to be install to get good AFR + ignition timing. Can anyone provide advice here ? I have only RM1K to spent so need to spent wisely.

what car are u driving sir? does it originally has a recirculated bov? and now uve fitted an aftermarket bov dat vents to the atmosphere? we need more info to troubleshoot for u sir, tq

Can anyone explain the advantages of Microtech X4 Ignition module ? any HP gain after installed with LT10s ?
here is what i got from the microtech's site : The X4 and X6 Ignition Module Boxes are used in direct fire applications. The X4 has 4 channel output (4 cyl outputs) and X6 has 6 outputs. These are used in conjunction with LT10S and LT12S ECU's. We have chosen to now run external boxes rather than internal igniters as we once did, enabling us to run more advanced hardware on the boards to cope with our new IGBT Ignition boost function which is available on LT10S and LT12S ECU's as a standard feature.

by dat, i assume they upgraded the function of the built in ignition amp in the LTs for a better unit dat built solely to control the ignition output for better performance.

as i was told previously, the X4 is similar to an MSD. it amplifies the input to the coil, and increases the spark power for better performance. a cheaper option imo

as i do believe x4 is an ignitor for sequential fire
there is still dwell n etc unlike MSD

Well I hope I can answer others query. Today I get my X4 installed. That's no tuning require if you want too that no restriction for that when you have extra $$ . So proceed to pay the bill to Calvin, assistant of Joshua while he is happily off for 2 weeks ! damn I hope got such chance. When I start the car as usual and proceed for test drive. This cool X4 device really has it function when you match it with LT10s because acceleration to 5K is faster and power comes in is faster. I still waiting for a change to test on traffic jam during hot sunny day. Just to make sure it works well. I will get you posted for new update. I forgot this gadget whack me RM750(Installation+ Wiring) on my wallet.

Forgot to mention. OEM ignition coil is remove after X4 installed. One thing I notice, idling is more stable when radiator temperature at 80 Celsius.
Stock ignition coils are still in used la bro..... X4 replaces the stock ignition control module or ignitor only la.. in Mitsubishi we call it the "biscuit" (J722T) Why it is better when you use X4? Simply because X4 responds to ignition timing change much faster compared to stock.

But a lot of us overlook the importance of using a fully charged powerful battery. Good battery power of true 12v or more will give your LT10s running at it's best. Believe me... a weak battery and weak alternator will cause your engine run like a 20 year old unserviced engine.

Alantjw,
It's the grey/blue wire. Labelled as "Tach Out" (make sure your aftermarket Tachometer is set accordingly to your engine type and supports 12v input signal... otherwise you will fry the tachometer)
