The Volkswagen Golf R packs quite a potent punch with its 2-liter four-banger under the hood from the factory with 270hp and 350Nm of torque. German tuner McChip-dkr however, has done as its name says and tweaked the Golf R’s ECU for some added kick in the pants.

Power has breached the 300hp mark and stands at 315hp while torque is now a whopping 440Nm. That’s quite some go for a little hatch.

Of course, the mandatory handling upgrades are available as well. McChip offers a new set of lowering springs from H&R to keep the stance in check while improving cornering G’s. Filling out the four corners are a set of 19-inch OZ Ultraleggera alloys wrapped in some nifty Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubbers.
