LMST meter

Hi guys , I got a problem with the lmst meter-THe meter does not function when i switch on .Only works when i Turn on headlight -When insert key turn to ACC it does not work no indicator light -if i start like that the meter wont work all the indicator including rpm wont work - i have to switch on headlight and off for it to work -

Another thing i find it difficult to start normally will kick with one turn now difficult-then i tested by switching headlight on and starting -work with one turn-short turn ignition on.


Any of u guys wo using lmst had this problem before-Wat is the solution ? any idea guys ..I took the meter and checked looks more like some relay or wiring problem -

i also checked the wiring but so far no luch finding the issue - not really sure wat wrong -when was in warranty period this happend onc ebut protong some how fixed it - dono how they did it but this prob come back again

Sky -bro the wiring is the difficult part - checked eveything including relay - still cannot find---waiting to swap meter n test to check n c whether internal issue or not.

Bro -Ur point is right - I've have claimed this issue with them when the car was under warranty.


Dono wtf they did - car was parked thre in SC for 1 week and then they say cant find problem they changed the entire meter with wiring - wic is BS

If they wanted to do that , would not taken them 1 week .they could do it in less than that and i dunt see any new wiring - think they reset something since the meter mileage counter was back to 00000


and then i sent for some other issue with the meter to them bout 5 times -- all the time they informed me -we have changed the meter and wiring again -BF


I dont think so they know wat they are doing -So no point asking Pro ton -( Pro tong sampah )


The meter cost about rm 400 in the spare part - wo the heck will be crazy enuff to buy proton meter for that price

if it was the old iswara meter i dont mind buying since was very reliable on 17 year old iswara -wic i've used b4.


As far i know this is just a minor problem with relay or wiring - if i can get the repair manual maybe can check it out since Proton dont have any proper system in placing wiring or relays .


I just wish one thing - Hope fully proton shuts down -Perodua comes out with more cars wic is better is quality -Day by day protong's "quality"going down -Like they have any quality .Most of the cars after 2000 i been noticing alot of problem.


this is not only with me sure happen to many ppl - hope fullly some one know the issue and resolution

Proton is the only mtf in the world who will proud of producing no 1 quality shit .Let them be.

when u off the headlights (meter light also off), meter won't work and hard to crank..but after u turn the lights on, then all things become normal, am i right?

based on my little knowledge, i think ur problem is something like this..not enough power supplied by the battery, until u turn the lights on (used alot of power) then the system is back to normal..you've change the meter and its wiring already but still the same problem happen..that's means its not the problem of the meter..no matter how 'sampah' proton is..after change somethings, sure got different..

better check with ur mech/ someone u know whose specialize in car wiring to check the connection frm ur battery, alternator etc..

Bro my prob is not like that -whether i on lights or not i can crank up no problem


Only when i on th elight the meter start to work - then i can switch off n the meter will work like normal - its like a switch fo the meter ready ----

I still can figure this out
