Sime Darby Auto Italia Sdn Bhd has launched the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta in Malaysia and it graces our shores with a 1.4L TB MultiAir engine with a 6-speed Twin Clutch Transmission.

<!--more-->The new five-door hatchback Giulietta promises heaps of agility as well as comfort for your everyday commute. All that capability also comes with a EuroNCAP five-star rating with an overall score of 87/100.

Engine wise, it possesses a 170bhp Multiair engine with a maximum torque of 250Nm and is capable of topping out at 218kmh, with just 7.7 seconds needed to accelerate from zerotohundred as you shift via paddle-shifters.

With such performance, intra-urban fuel consumption comes in at a lowly 5.2L/100km and obviously you won’t be able to achieve that once your fingers feel those paddles shifters behind the all-leather steering wheel.

The Giulietta features bi-xenon lights with AFS function, the Blue&Me system with Bluetooth function, a USB port for your MP3 player, radio/mobile phone controls on steering wheel, rear parking sensors, rain-dusk-humidity sensors, electrically folding door mirrors and an electro-chromic rear-view mirror and daytime LED running lights with Bi-Xenons.

Best of all, driving satisfaction and comfort can be adapted thanks to the Alfa DNA selector with three set-up functions – Dynamic, Normal and All Weather.

Handling performance and comfort levels are managed by MacPherson front suspension, which has been revised to offer maximum rigidity under side loads, reducing the weight by 4kg thanks to the use of aluminium.

The rear suspension is a sophisticated Multilink that promises exceptional balance between handling and ride comfort without compromising the 350L boot space with aluminium wishbones that allows for a weight reduction of over 10kg compared to conventional Multilink systems.

The new electric power steering system (dual pinion active steering) ensures an excellent steering feel and is integrated with the vehicle's active safety systems.

The new Giulietta’s hydraulic, power-assisted braking system comprises two crossover, independent circuits and has proven to be particularly effective to allow quick and progressive braking, with shorter stopping distances. In addition, it is equipped with an ABS anti-lock braking system with EDB (Electronic Brake-force Distribution).

Other key safety features include VDC, Alfa Romeo's interpretation of ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) which optimizes traction at any speed with by helping to control the brakes and engine. CBC (Cornering Brake Control) also comes as standard and monitors the braking pressure on each individual wheel, minimising the onset of understeer or oversteer.

Currently, three colour choices are available – Ghiaccio White, Alfa Red and Black, and warranty is 2 years with unlimited mileage.

this is one truly fine piece of art ... doesnt matter if "the value depreciates faster than it accelerates" (quoted from J.Clarkson lol~)..

Hello guys,
I need help from you guys using hard racing clutch on your Proton rides.
I'm using a Wira 1.6A body currently running on 880pounds Ralliart clutch and using GSR clutch pedal.
The problem is my firewall cracked due to the clutch is too hard.
Cracks started from the 2 diagonal holes to mount the pedal.
Previously added a thicker plate (about 1.5mm) on the firewall and some additional bars to secure the pedal. It feels much better after that but it didnt last.
Firewall crack...
