Went to the car show today, crowd was CRAZY in short.

Overall, aside from exhibitors who had nothing interesting. The main exhibitors of car manufacturers were only a handful.

Toyota
Honda
Nissan
Mitsubishi
Renault
Peugeot
Hyundai
Kia
Geely
Proton
Perodua
Mazda
Mercedes Benz

The lack of BMW seems like an unusual happening.

Anyway, the car that impresses me the most, is the Perodua Kenari RS. Perodua actually placed a LCD screen , sunroof, momo steering and momo gearknob for the RS. They will put this into production.

That's it? There's nothing particularly RS-ish about that. Did they put anything in it that made it perform better?

LCD screen is for what? display advertisement? hehehe...

is there any other mods, other than the cosmetic enhancement?

Any pics to share?

brabus,
The kenari RS is the same as Daihatsu Move with aerodown custom bodykit. Kindly refer attached.

Guys, thou they did not confirm any performance upgrade. But come to think of it, is there any manufacturer in the market that would go beyond the normal grill, headlight cluster, bodykit upgrade? This Kenari special edition will put all to shame, seeing that they were mostly manufacturers of small and cheesy cars, the inclusive of a sunroof, LCD screen (for in car entertainment you IDIOTS) and momo steering, momo gearknob electronic retractable side mirrors is a vast improvement and a show off to local distributors who got used to putting low specced vehicles on sale here. Thou the sunroof is largely aftermarket, but i do appreciate their effort in answering the market's needs. Kudos to perodua again.

The flop and disspointment? You guess it, Proton again. They "showcase" their "exclusive" Proton Gen2, Proton Waja Campro and a Zero kit Savvy. How shameful.

Which retard would need reversing cameras or even reversing sensors for a Kenari? That person might as well be banned from driving.

Ingolstadt; then they shouldn't stick RS onto the name. At least give it a bit more power (dvvt 1.0 engine from MyVi?) and a sportier suspension setup, for a start. If they call it Kenari special something edition then that would be fine. That said, I am being a bit anal here, yes.

went yesterday.. crowd was massive.. darn i missed honda.. didn realise where was their location..

de lancer evo 9 n colt was awesome man.. tuned by rally art.. see tat car went crazy mode.. *drooling*

Hopefully the Kenari RS would also come with a turbo charged engine, from Daihatsu of course. But come to think of it, they might as well tuck in the 1.0 DVVT (err.... wait ... 1.0 also DVVT mer? i thought only the 1.3? ) or maybe perhaps kelisa's 1.1 dohc.

Eh, bila pulak Kelisa ada 1.1 litre engine?

Kelisa and Kenari comes as standard with a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder DOHC engine codenamed EJ-DE.

The MyVi 1.0 comes with a variation of the EJ-DE which is the EJ-VE and this comes with DVVT. Exported models of the Kelisa come as standard with this engine because of European emmissions business. Slightly more powerful, with slightly more torque, smoother and revvier, plus better economy.

those car seem not enuff attractive for me,if compare the previous year, but thumb for those embassador..^^

Asimo is not for sell, Honda only do lease, leasing price for Asimo is USD $170,000.00 per year. Still interested?
