Specs
Hi Bro,
May I know what was the price you bought it last time? PM me also can...
Since I am feeling bored, let me help do some promotion for you.....
The unit (KDC-X8529) has basic audio adjustment. Rear, Sub, bass, middle, treble, balance and fader. The rear volume only works if you use 2 zone setting. The 2 zone setting allows the front speakers produce sounds thats different from the rear speakers. eg: you listen to radio while the passenger at the back is listening audio from a DVD or something. This feature might need optional hardware.
Detail Audio adjustment:
Bass center frequency, bass Q factor, bass extend.
Mid centre frequency, mid Q factor
treble centre frequency.
This means you have a parametric equalizer in this unit. (it's only 3 band though) :)
You can also adjust the Front high pass (all pass, 40 to 220Hz), rear high pass (all pass, 40 to 220Hz), and low pass for sub (50 to 120Hz, all pass), sub phase 180 degree / 0 degree. Same with crossover right? You have 6 preset equalization curve + 1 for user setting too.
You can also do speaker setting, Off, 5" and 4", 6"x9" and 6" or OEM. Each setting will alter the preset eq curve value and setting.
you can set wallpaper. the interesting thing about this unit is it has a G analyzer display. This basically shows you the g-force you're experiencing. How accurate it is, I do not know.
You got the normal station/disc naming feature...
The other cool feature is, it comes with a software that you can use to compile your music collection before burning it to a MP3 cd. Yeah, I know you can do that with your own software, but the software that comes with the unit has Voice ID...
If you burn English MP3s or probably AACs, a voice will annouce either, The Artist or The Album or The Genre. eg: "Now Browsing Genre, Rock slash Pop", "Now Browsing Artist, Maroon Five", "Now Browsing Album, No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls" .
For security purposes, it has detachable faceplate and you can also enable the 4 - digit code. This code, if enabled, must be keyed in everytime the constant 12V is not supplied to the unit (when you change to new car battery).
Not to forget, it has 24-Bit Burr Brown DAC. (This is something that confuse me though). The manual does not mention anything about this 'feature'. But, you can actually see 24 bit DAC printed on the faceplate. This is only mentioned in the Kenwood Singapore site. Anybody know how to test / confirm this?
If this info manage to interest you, you check out other info about the unit by downloading the user manual. Go to kenwood malaysia site, look for "customer support", then look for "user manual". Then, "receivers". From the list, you should be able to find KDC-X8529. Hope you guys find the info useful.
p/s: This unit can also control some feature on some Kenwood Amps... (optional wires/hardware might be required)
So, samuel1121, is my promotion/advertisement good or not?
