changing of bumpers to other types than your stock is consired illegal as it does not pass the safety specification of the vehicle. Design of bumpers changes the aerodynamic characteristics of your car, and sometimes at higher speeds, it will be dangerous as it may reduce stability as well.

I heard some people say it is legal as long as you still attached the proton emblem. But it is still on your own luck... if they want to summon you.... they can find 1001 fault at your car

You need to go for JPJ, ask them for the facelift or front face convertions paper agreement. Around rm30-50... depends ones..

Any bad asshole there won't simply tell you this, but actually u can request for the paper. I have friend who has an AE111 then converted to Carib head. And he got lucky because there is a superior there willingly to tell him about this.

So now, he just bring his paper (photocopy) version at his car.. in case any JPJ block him. he can just show them the letter. :) but please bare in mind...

Some car were born with a hole under their front hood following by the engine series(etc turbo)... while some are illegal... So don't go too far limit here... etc, MY car is NA but i use SUBARU scoop as to cold down the engine, then i add fins on my fender there to allow the car to have better air circulations. That is something which i said rojak and JPJ even got letter also won't permit you to have green light for it.

its OK as long as u got the papers approved rite? so use a runner..pay..approved..stick it next to our road tax..hehehe..BTW whos checking the car? JPJ or Puspakom?
