Head unit repair

my alpine HU(old model,donno wat number) rosak dee,the cds i put in it just eject it out,can't read the cds i put in

so anyone know where can i get it repaired?those normal electrical shops that do repair for mini-compo and hi-fis can repair?

I think you have the problem at the pick up lens.
Just send it back to your installer or any installers whom you know.
They will send back to the agent, WKH, for repairs.
The cost should be around RM250~RM300.

u got a point there,actually its quite a good one for me la,me not a big fan of ICE,juz need basic stuffs to listen to some cds enough dee
but wat worries me is that if the repair is not done properly,say after a while problem comes back....
anyway i'll try to enquire for the price of the repair then only decide lo,if its too expensive,then i guess i would rather get a new one

Mine also ejects on me for the past couple of days. Drop in a lens cleaner and it worked like new again.

every now n then like every few months also i got clean the lens with the lens cleaner one
now i guess the lens are goner

I be very careful with what kind of lens cleaner I use. I choose those soft type ones instead of those brush like kind. I think that itself will prolong the lifespan of the lens.

If possible, get those spraying video head cleaner, those that comes with a long red tube. Open up the cover of the player and give it a few short spray. Make sure you do not spray too much, or touch the lens. Old lens are known to be sensitive to foreign objects.
