i'm always feeling uncomfortable when tracking on a wet circuit!! If the downpour is really heavy, we can have water ponding here and there...

well,if u ask me...i hafta thank d rain......or else my brake pads won last d entire session......ngam ngam last lap,my EBC Red Stuffs TOTALLY GONE!!!......drove back 2 Shah Alam by dropping gears DAMN far away whn approaching toll n yank on d handbrake!hahahahahah

gtr very the fast... :) my friend do 3.08s yesterday.. :) b16 in ek 2dr.. :) i think wet condition lagi best then dry condition.... :P

I'm surprised to hear you all had such a good time in the wet!! Did anyone run semi slick tyres?
The Cefiro has almost new semi's and they are not much chop in the wet, pretty dangerous actually! I'm interested to know if they get better with a bit of heat in them.
Let's hope that it's clear for the next track day and we can really take some meat off our tyres and brakes.
What type of car was it that crashed??

d only time i REMEMBERED 2 time myself,i managed a miserable 3.15 only.........

It was a fun wet day. During the heavy rain, I could see a stream of water running across the track right before turn 9. It was very slippery and the car's tail was ever ready to step out.

Tyre wear was minimal in the wet surface and so is the brake pad. However, I still ran my pads down to the metal coz I didnt check my pads before the track day. Next time, I will sure remember to check the pads. My pads finished during the 2nd hour and had to hitch rides with friends.

I "flew" out of turn 1 due to my brake pads.... hahahahah.

I like the GT-R oso.. damn fast even in the rain!

This was my 1st wet race in SIC.. very scary lah if you ask me.. I actually spun during turn 3 and the speed is oni 1/3 of the dry race.:banghead:

Din't enjoy too much compared wif dry race. :smokin:

Nice results on the brake pads, I hope your rotors survived? Good to hear the R888's were ok in the wet that's what I run also. Gives me a little confidence if it rains next time at SIC.
I suppose the best thing about the rain is the lack of cars on the track.

Cheers.

akuma,
What brembo pad u look for?? I mean the origin brembo is form what model..??

pang,
walau..??!! u should get some good pads for urself.. ie EBC yellow or the dixcel type Z or the Endless (but the endless makan rotor like hell). or just keep 1 set for the front loh.

pang,
w/ ur driving style the black stuff = ultimax ?? is not good enough for u leh.... u can keep a red or yellow stuf just for ur track day & autoX mah. But do check out the Dixcel type Z (not cheap) 0 - 850 degC w/ ur workshop, this also can use as track & daily drive. I used this at my rear caliper only the front I change as I go to track drive.

eater,
u shud unker pang 2 change car..not d rotor!hahahahhaha

unker pang,
come on lar wei..BLACK STUFFS?dat 1 i use 4 my rear only oso bo kau ler..hafta resort 2 Green instead!

bluetaxi,
no no..not Brembo pads..am using Brembo Max rotors..aftermarket stuffs 4 Honda...running EBC Red Stuffs in front n Green @ d back.....
