So here am I on the launch day event on the 26th, day after my birthday (its not Friday!)

A quick summary on what Gumball 3000 is about.
3000 miles road rally contest hence the number 3000.
Checkpoints including big major cities and continent.
Annual entry of 120 cars yadayada so on and so forth...

This particular camo Phantom is owned by a lifeguard. Yes you heard me, LIFEGUARD!

Last year, the infamous Team Betsafe's SV Murcie sporting a roof rack.
This year, they bring a GTR with it. Totally wicked!

It's still manageable. Thanks for asking anyway..
TBH, this years' is much lesser "energy" presense..
IDK, i think its because of the weather, or probably the picked destinations and some odd day of launching the event.
The bad thing only is the normal rainy spring weather.
Heavy downpour during midday when the flag is drop! How ridiculous is that.
I have to endure the rainfall whilst protecting my cheapo non-L lens whilst fighting for perfect POV with other camera guy. :vollkommenauf:

Great stuff, Sukun! I remember being there 5 or 6 years back; I suspect there were more cars back then. Thing is, Gumbo's been getting some bad rep, no thanks to the speeding drivers... but in the infamous words of Lonman... "It's not a race, it's a rally..."

I've been following the pics and developments from Team 57; turns out their LP67SV got into an incident and was unable to proceed. Still in Europe I think, so wonder if they'll be able to catch up.
