Let say,i just start my car.Myvi yrv turbo

I have install 3 meter gauges at my car dashboard.(2 years ago)

That are Voltage gauge,Water Temperature gauge & Turbo Gauge.

When,i start the engine, in 1 -2 minutes...
-the voltage gauge meter will show at 12volt.
-the water temperature gauge ..will increase a little bit until reach max.
-the turbo boost gauge also will be at the max, show at 2.0...

until, now i didnt know what cause this problem ??
what i realize is ..when i touch this 3 gauges meters ..its so hot..

at my dash is normal..i use a yrv meter dashboard and the a/c is so cold,no problem at all.

Is this ,my 3 gauges meter broken ..or wiring mistake .. or malfunction ..

help me guys ..

is,there any good mechanic shop at penang ..which they are specialist in Myvi YRV wiring & etc.

It,will be usefull... im newbie ..at penang :)

main wiring loom wire gauge that gets the electric source is too thin to support the needed total voltage?
So,this mean ..not enough electric/voltage source ...

or should i install grounding wire/cable ..to stablize the voltage/electric

- voltage meter around 12 volt still "ok" but it could be your battery is weak as we should get between 13-14 volt upon running engine. Anything below/above do check your battery & alternator first
- water temp meter shouldn't reach max, do a matching with your existing car's water temp meter. If both are the same, then it is the cooling part i.e. radiator is the problem.
- boost meter suppose to be at 0 bar upon start up, not 2.0 bar.

Check your water temp and boost meter sensors

No idea on that but it is easier to troubleshoot on things easier to reach (check sensors, battery, alternator, etc.) before we move into internal (engine wiring). Also thread starter mentioned that he has these 3 meters installed 2 years ago, so if it is wiring issue it should happen immediately upon installation. I have friends used to install 5 meter gauges in their cars with no problem. However I don't rule out it is not wiring problem, just less likely :)

Currently using ..water based type battery ..(bateri basah)

sometimes it, the voltage meter gauge shows 10volt,11volt ..when im pressing the power window up/down

I already check my car existing water temp water is normal ...but,my preinstalled water temperature gauge not reading it correctly.

My a/c is not making any problem, it is still cold inside ..the radiotor is ok,and the fan also working ..there no problem at here.

And,my turbo meter gauges show at 2.0 ..after start the engine.

Ok,i will check my boost meter sensor & my alternator.

Thx,bro.

one,day i hit a bump ..suddenlly all of my 3 gauges works again (became normal) ... on the next day in the morning, when start the engine the problem starts back again ...why was that ??

At idling boost meter should be -0.5 as far as I know. Mine shows that figure for my turbo VR...
