However, without step up, a turbocharger can be pumped nicely.</p><p>So we can deduce that exhaust stream rotates the impellor faster than directly driven from the crankshaft?</p><p></p><p>But how come centrifugals must spin fast to pump efficiently, and roots dont have to?</p><p>I was told it is the design.
