We had a customer who had had his car broken into at his house. When the thief triggered the shock sensor, our customer ran out to see what's going on. He shouted at the thief and before the thief ran away, he quickly dug out the lock barrel. The customer was happy he didn't lose anything to that guy, because of the 2-way ability. Later, he posted and reported that incident in zero-to-hundred.

We advised our customer to either: -

1. replace the lock barrels. Change the set of keys.
2. Stop using keys, sealed off the other key holes.

These buggers will come back and look for your car!

But just wondering if my battery kong how to open the doors?
Got emergency keyhole somewhere hidden?

shaving door adventure...., I am not so expert la. Actually good question also; if batt kong, then how to open door. Wonder if anyone can help with this.

My Radio star alarm system dead oledy... age about 1year ++

Just happened 2day...

Any ideas whats the cause? My bet could be the fuse or loose wires...

plz let me know if any other cause.. will go to Car acc. shop n check it out la 2morrow..

bro in regards to the shave lock well...u will need some one to actually cover up the door handles for u...as for installing well i think you will need stronger actuator since you wanna open the door and one of those things I heard cost RM100 plus. If you want you can always talk to our installer.

I'm using the Tiger.

Have some Qs about the remote.

1. It's ugly, can I change to something better next time?
2. It doesn't receive response from the car very well (even if next to the car itself).

Eg.

If I lock the car, it will not receive a Lock status indicator unless I query the alarm 3-4 times. BTW, I'm standing next to the car and pointing the remote directly to the FM module.

Also, during a Remote Start, the animated start icon is stuck (kept displaying even when I query the alarm many times). Removing the batt fixed the problem which later occur after 3-4 times activating the Remote Start.

Change the remote? Well at the moment that's the latest we have ...if we have other models that are interchangeable then u can buy another remote.

As for the signal, that means that there is either something not right with your remote of the antenna. Can you try with your other remote? Is it giving off the same response? If yes then its likely the remote needs to be replaced.

OK, I will test the 2nd remote tmw morning. If it works, can I swap the 1st remote for something better - willing to top up some money for it.

I faced almost similar problem with mine too, one remote has problem with query (open parking area road side, no other car no obstacle, distance between remote & car is slightly more than 100 meters or so). The other remote works fine but haven't test up to the stated distance (~800m right?).
In this case can the 1st remote be replaced? Mine is still within warranty period and newly installed.

FYI, battery indicator on both remote are full. I can hear siren once I press the query, but remote didn't show any indicator (as though didn't receive any signal). The second remote work fine and I can see the status after the siren (note both are tested at same location & distance, about 100m only).

Mine is Tiger, just installed on Friday. I've swapped the battery one another, it behaves the same. This evening I tried the auto start of engine, using the mentioned remote it can start but then the remote didn't give any status. Using the other remote (the OK one), it's ok (engine start & I get the status that the engine started afterwards).

A friend of mine (who recommend this product) use eagle and he can get status at even at further distance.
