engine oil consumption

hi there.have this problem.my e8 seems to be consuming engine oil.is it normal?the engine had its engine oil serviced 3 weeks ago.now after 1000km of mileage the oil quantity seem to have dropped below full.is this normal??no smoke coming out of the exhaust.except burnt oil smell after heavy driving or on balik kampung trip.

can be quite common especially for long hard drives.....especially for lower viscocity

i'm using motul turbolight.

Check the tappet (ask mechanic) or look for sign of oil spill out from your engine oil cap/level gauge.

already chk the engine area.seems to be clean.no traces of oil leaks or seepage.no tappet sound eminating from the engine.running smoothly.

hehe turbolight is only 10-40....i also had similar oil disappearing act :D use Power 15-50 better :)

owh ok.its just about 3 mm below the full mark on the dipstick.so this is a common problem eh??

me using turbolight 4100 motul....it seem ok coz mine changed 2months ago....

It's normal...why not try 15W-50..
