ithink mine also very thirsty car.. usually pump rm30.. can go about 160km jer.. is the fc ok?? using 10w 40... minyak murah2 je.. dunno ler after price hike..

For more accurate calculation u should use km/liter. From what I can see, urs is around 9km/liter... for 2 liter car I think normal lah. There are many after market parts that can help you to save fuel. U can try them out wisely.

Should be around +-8 litres left in the tank when the fuel warning lights up. I usually fill up until really full ( near the filler). If u pump at petronas, the nozzle wil 'tendang' 3 times.. If u fill up until really penuh when fuel warning lights up steadily (not padam-nyala-padam-nyala), u can only fill 37 litres.. so around 8 litres left in tank. (EK fuel tank capacity = 45 litres)..

btw i always fill full tank = 37 litres = RM71, can go 450 km. My engine oil also hilang about 1 litre for every 3000km... is this normal? i always have 1 spare 1 litre bottle of oil in trunk...

ic...no wonder when pumped full tank oni got approx. 36-37 litres. 4got got another 8 litres reserve fuel :)

once got 14km/l (pumped in v-power full tank) - drive from kl-kuala perlis (that's 500km) & maintained speed of 120kmh, s/times WOT. yet fuel check light still not on when arrived there...blardy save indeed. but town driving's like hell - oni got 11-12km/l ajee :(

btw, mine's D15B engine EK3 auto...

I play with that. Actually less than 8 liter. I think for EK 45 liter tank, max they can store 43 liter like that. The most fuel I pump is 42 liter, light nyala for 30km. I try further and my car cannot start liao. Coz not enuf pressure for fuel pump already. So when ur light turned on, above 30km is dangerous already. :X-:

meaning that i can go another 80km when the fuel warning light start to turn on... but last time only can get 40km before the fuel tank empty...
and thats first time in my life kete mati tepi jalan bcoz minyak empty... haha

next time becarefull when the fuel warning light turn on...
on my previous 1.6 sohc, and 1st time using LPT the warning light start to on another 60 km before the nearest petrol station... and i'm so lucky coz still manage to reach the petrol pump before the tank going empty...
feel like nak teberak woo....

Ya lah. When ur fuel light on for 20-30km and u can't find any petrol station... some more not familiar with that place... Imagine how tension that time.
