Message: <blockquote data-quote="shiroitenshi" data-source="post: 1064345188" data-attributes="member: 27518">there's a few methods to doing led brake lights, one is where you put the brake on leds between the always on leds, or another one where you simply overvolt the leds. meaning one circuit is 2.5-3V on normal circuits, the other is 5V. its momentary, so will probably not hurt the LED lifespan much. But I think your superbrights aren't suited to brake lights. Mine makes a 400ma amp draw each, (mine is bought assembled, leds are like the ones you see in torchlights) and behind the brake light lens, nobody realises its LED because its that bright.
