My friends and I are planning to take up open water diving license.
Anyone got any hole to get cheaper rate.
Planning to take it at some pulau.
Taking up license: 5 people
Going for holiday: 5 people
Total:10 people
The current price i get for 4days 3nights is RM1300(R&B and the diving course)
Anyone?

Anyone with diving experience can also share their experience.

its good to hear that your friend and you are taking up this sports as a hobby. And as usual, malaysians will try to look into cheap prices in most of the thigns they purchase. I have been diving for a while, and have met many divers that get certified from all part of the world, with different certifying organisation, such as NAUI, PADI,BSAC,IANTD and so on. Is your price inclusive of pool session or its island based?

I would like to give some comments that, do not look so much into the cheapest price for certification. The training is very much important to you, to drill you with emergency skills and to know what to do during emergency in the water. Certainly, a cheap certification with lousy instructor will lead you to no where, and not knowing the necessary knowledge in diving. I have seen many divers know nuts about diving and endangering their life all the time. Its your life that you are taking in diving. So be wise and safe.

will be going to Phuket this April. See price how........
Going for PADI, heard that NAUI is more for expert and more test to pass.
If Phuket is expensive, I might be organising one trip to Sabah; Arnd RM800 inclusive of accomodation and food (got to further check). But exclduing Air Ticket.
I got lots of friends diving, I think I'm the last simply because I'm based in KL.....now place to dive.
Anyway, 1U got give out lessons....never survey the price there yet....

The price i get is for island based.

Last time i should get it at RM400 in Sabah during my uni days but too busy with assignments that time.

Now really regret it.

Thats why i ask for any recommendation for good instructor and better price.

Actually i'm trying to ask uncle Headache to recommend but he seems still holidaying and not yet reply my pm.
