Hi guys,im riding Toyota SE
So,the prob is my front disc rotor i believe not straight or simply said not smooth during braking.
It will vibrate during braking which i found not so comfortable.
So which one is better, skimming or change new rotor?
Any disadvantages on skimming?
I think there are no new parts manufactured for SE anymore as its been ages,is second hand rotor only the choice if want to change the rotor?

Check how thick the disc rotor balance. Have minimum thickness, so if still thick can still skim. If too thin they also will not do for you. If you get second hand rotor, you may also need to skim it.
I think should have after market rotor. Even my VR4 front rotors can get. I bought Shoji brand from spare part shop. My original rotor skimmed twice, before changing to this aftermarket one...

check if ur disc can skim or not.. if can, just do it..

if not, get a halfcut disc.. usually they sell with caliper..

or if u can afford, get an aftermarket ones..

Skimming wont garenti it wont warp again.
I wont recommend halfcut, as the item will be given 1 week waranti oni.

Buy new oem/aftermarket if can. Dont play play with brake matters...

Agree, it's a matter of life... last time I used to skim the rotor, after 1 month, change to new/oem 1...

My car use 2 pot brake from levin. It always face a problem with wrapped disc. The problem is from the brake pad. Use el-chepo pad, now the dics last longer.

Because they sell with calipers, my half cut ones cost more then aftermarket ones so I bought after market ones and brand new. Half cut may still need to skim as all mostly rusty ones...

My original half cut ones I skimmed twice, not because vibrate but worn in by the pads, so change pads time skim disc also. After 3 sets of pads finally to thin already, now on aftermarket "Shoji" brand.....

vr2turbo,
