Is it safe to use stroker kit from crower for B18C? there's an option to upgrade up to 2.26L 2260cc with this kit. how much is the price roughly?

bro,
the kit alone is approx 9k plus if u send to usa ie benson machinery for a bore up job it would cost u maybe another 5 to 7k plus all freight and tax charges, final cost could be around 16k. here's one suggestion from me why dun u use a b20b block instead and put in the crower stroker of 85mm x 95mm so u dun have to put in sleeves and bore out the block to 6mm like u do on the b18c block ( 87mm x 95mm to get 2.26cc ) and its an instant drop in installation just need to bore 1mm ( can do it locally and save tons ) and u get yourself a 2.156 vtec with a lot of torque..................cheers.

xerofighter,

don't be so humble la... everyone knew that u were a vtec king & still is!

Cost?

So with your suggestion on B20B how much the price roughly? Around how much HP and Torque i gain with this setup? Reliability?

My mech did say about B20B before, but he did on B16A+B20B. Since I'm quite new with this "mixing" thing so i need a real advice from you guys.

What other factor/accessories need to be modified with this hybrid thing? ECU still can use stock ar?

depends on the driver..b20b with 200hp whp can be reliable..if u dont whack it every day..i dont recommend it for a heavy footed, hehe..b16a is for them..hehe

HanafyEG : bro, B16A + B20B is a no - no for a heavy footer? Aiyoo..baru plan to save up money to do a B20B bottom end conversion.. What kind of heavy - footed driver do you mean? Example :

Drive to work : 7 kms so - so, sometimes ( most of the times, if the traffic is clear ) I hit 8500rpm and go up to 140kph..
Drive from work to home : about 7 kms oso lah, if I go home after 12pm ( traffic is damn clear ) I hantam up to 9000rpm and go up to 170kph sometimes..
Fuel consumption : for about a full tank ( around RM50++, about 30++ litres ) I can only manage up to 240 - 260 kms..

This kind of driving is not suitable for a B16A + B20B conversion? What if I fit a block guard, dun rev up to 8000rpm everyday ( mebbe on weekends of Sepang / Bkt Tinggi / Hulu Langat or night street driving, hint hint! )and Mobil 1 every 5000 kms? ( now my car is on Esso Ultron )

Anyway, at the moment, since I do not have a working sound system, maybe that's why I'm driving like this. If got my sound system, maybe I drive slower to let other ppl listen to my beats in my ride ( eheh, ah beng alert... ;) ) Opinions?

AGREED....have used a B20B for a year....i dun floor it too much but once a while layan jugak....one day lepas main for less than 1km, the crank bearing broke and my crank was scrapping it...also, my B20B more than 7 years which makes it more unrealiable....whp= 'melayang', reliability= habrak....haha...
