Car pulls to the left... help!!

Hi sifus..

my car:
a slowMo 2001 Honda City 1.5AT front wheel drive. bought 2nd hand on 2005.

recently i noticed that the car pulls to the left side when driving on a flat road. then go for few times alignment.. i noticed that the mechanic always came back to workshop after he test drive it, and pump in more air to the left front tyre.. and then he is done. 2-3 workshop has done this to my front left tyre.

logically thinking, he does this to counter the pull to the left.. (higher pressure to left tyre makes it lighter.) but i wondering why the mechanic never tell me about the real problem, but instead just pump in more air and thats it. (i havent complain it to them about the pulls to the left problem)..

i also notice some rattling in the power steering rack during higher speed 80-100km/h.

what could be the cause to this problem? is it something to do with the car's chassis? or steering rack?

have u check ur tyre thread?maybe uneven wear or something.did ur car look
lowered on 1 side when stationary?the second problem might be ur steering rack.just my 2cent.
 
i dont think is leaking air.. bcos if pump in air same pressure for both tyres, it will still pull to the left. if left side air higher a bit, then feels ok a bit..

Adeen, which part is the lower arm? the big metal from chassis? any photo to show? how much it cost to change lower arm roughly?

so far i see the thread of tyre is equal makan for both tyres.. thats y i weird y pull to the left..
 
fstrader.. i asked my mech before about my driveshaft, but he says still ok...
i oso think still ok coz never hear any ktak tak sound when cornering full radius.. really pening with this problem..
 
Letting go tyre air is not the correct way to do so. I can recommend my friend's shop who can tell you whats wrong and solve it the right way. You can give him a call Gary @ 0122218902.
 
Toe alignment? Camber alignment? Caster alignment? Did you ask abt this b4?
 
don, driveshaft got long and short...mine also tarik one side when/during pick up...it seems ok if look from outside.

there is couple of problems due to this nature :

-drive shaft (check d long and short batang)
-lower arm bush (worn out)
-steering rack bearings.
-abs mounting (worn out or crack)
-front arm assembly.
-roll bar bush (check ur satay bush)

just trying to help..
 
try letting go of your air and refilling the tyre with new air again. I did mine as well as did another alignment. then i notice that my tyre threads have un-even wear. how fast do you normally drive? My tyre's wear out in the inner part(people tell me that i drive too fast). :P

But i believe its the steering rack. Go give it a check. Maybe you'll find something. Oh ya..when u fix the problem..let me knw whats the problem :P
 
thx all for ideas..... normally i drive not so fast.. but occassionally 180km/h..

tyre thread makan on the outside for both front tyres.. i do kona baring a lot.. probably thats why... and i also suspecting the steering rack..since got rattling noise from there.. but i also worry about the driveshaft/any shaft connecting to the tyre.. scared later left tyre tercabut at 180km/h die lor..

gti, thx for the contact, but i think i will try send to nearby workshop (near my house) first...
 
i olso got this problem with my civic ej lor..car body feels like rolling to the left..
