car is a 1999 mitsubishi lancer using the 1.5 block with the 1.3 head.
At start up the car has a VERY strong smell of gas and i have noticed a white smoke/vapour coming from the exhaust pipe but goes away after a minute or two. Even if i rev the car to the limiter it doesn't smoke after the start up phase.
My mpg is horrible....i get 10 mpg or less...
I'm assuming the car is running rich....what do you guys think?
The exhaust is not free flowing. If i place my hand over it, rather than air blowing out smooth its puffing. However the car is idling fine and fireing in all cylinders.
The car is also vibrating like a jack hammer. I had my throttle body cleaned maybe 6 weeks ago and it stopped the issue. Since then my air filter got a nasty hole. I drove it with the nasty hole for about a week as i was too busy to patch it. I finally patched it with tape and glue. (short ram intake) and the vibration is back. Could my throttle body be dirty again? (the car also needs engine mounts, All 3 are broken)
Whats the best product i can use to clean my fuel injectors? STP?
