Generally speaking, American muscle and Italian flare are the last things to get in bed especially so when it involves their respective rolling art. Nonetheless, the union between Fiat and Chrysler will undoubtedly lead to some interesting combos and even rebadging, one of which has already popped up.

Chrysler are very proud of their Mopar performance accessories line and there’s no better way to show it than at the upcoming 2011 Detroit Auto Show. Two vehicles that have gotten the Mopar treatment are slated for a debut with an expected Chrysler 200 Super S and a slightly more eye-brow raising Fiat 500. Yeap, you heard it right, Mopar has done their thing on the little 500. However, don’t be expecting SRT badging on the rear or even muscled out flares hiding dished and chromed wheels.

Displaying a little more restraint with their Italian cousin, Mopar gave the 500 the blacked out treatment to the exterior with chrome trim to contrast it. Finishing off the exterior cosmetics are a pair of blue racing strips running the length of the car.

Moving inside, the interior gets the same colour combo with the black and blue leathers complemented by carbon fiber accents to offset it. Don’t expect an SRT mill to power this diminutive hatch. Mopar only gave it a strut tower brace for some stiffness in the handling department.

As for its Yank cousin that will debut at the same time, the 200 Super S gets a black on tungsten paint scheme with lower chins and a rear decklid spoiler sharpening things up. Filling the four corners are a set of 19-inch wheels that scream ‘America, Hell Yeah.’ Similarly, the interior gets a matching leather retrim just like its Italian brethren.
